A POV alternative

hazel vs POV.

POV: A disposable camera on your guests' phones, revealed during, after or on a delay.

The short answer

Both collect your guests' photos by QR code with nothing to download. POV works like a disposable camera: a guest shoots, it goes in, and you can delete afterwards. In hazel the guest sees each photo before it uploads, you approve everything before anyone else sees it, and every guest is emailed the Album. hazel's prices show in your own currency; POV's are in US dollars.

Disposable camera apps for weddings covers the camera-style option in full, and wedding photo bingo gives guests shots to hunt for.

Questions

What is the difference between hazel and POV?

POV is a disposable camera: guests shoot, photos go in, you can delete afterwards. hazel puts two checks in front of that: the guest sees each photo before it uploads, and you approve everything before anyone else sees it.

Which has the bigger free tier, hazel or POV?

POV: 10 guests to hazel's 6. hazel's free tier includes the same guest review, host approval and Album email as the paid ones.

Does POV have video?

Not for guests: we found no guest video on their site, and camera-roll uploads take photos only. In hazel video is an optional add-on: three clips per guest, up to 60 seconds each, reviewed before upload like photos.

Can guests add photos from their camera roll in hazel?

Yes. From the camera roll, or a photo or clip taken on the spot. Either way they see it before it uploads.
