A Guestpix alternative
hazel vs Guestpix.
Guestpix: A QR code photo-sharing platform with a live gallery, video and a video guestbook.
The short answer
Both collect your guests' photos by QR code, with nothing to download. Guestpix's gallery is live during the party and has no approval step: to tidy it you hide the gallery, delete, then unhide. hazel holds every photo back until you've been through it, then emails every guest the Album. Guestpix starts at $49 for a wedding; hazel is free up to 6 guests and $32.99 up to 100.
Two guides answer what people ask most when they're choosing: how to make a wedding QR code for photos and wedding photo sharing with no app.
What's different
- Nothing is seen by anyone until you share it. Guestpix is live as photos arrive.
- Every guest is emailed the Album. With Guestpix, guests go back to the link.
- You get two links: one to download from, one view-only for people who weren't there.
- Invite by email as well as QR code, and each invitee gets an email.
- Guests add from their camera roll or take a photo or clip on the spot, and see it before it uploads.
- Anyone in a photo can have it taken down, and any photo can be reported.
- Free up to 6 guests, $32.99 up to 100, $64.99 up to 200. Guestpix is $49 a wedding whatever the size, so above 200 it's the cheaper one.
- Business events: your logo on the pages and emails is included. A private Album if you want one, and each guest's consent to use their photos, recorded when they join.

Questions
Is hazel cheaper than Guestpix?
For photos, at most sizes, yes: hazel is free up to 6 guests, $19.99 up to 60, $32.99 up to 100 and $64.99 up to 200, against Guestpix's $49 at any size. Guestpix's price includes video; with hazel, video clips are an optional extra. Above 200 guests, Guestpix is cheaper, because it isn't priced by headcount.
What is the difference between hazel and Guestpix?
Control. A Guestpix gallery is live during the party with no approval step. In hazel every photo comes to you first, and guests are emailed the Album only when you share it.
Does Guestpix have a free plan?
Yes: 50 photos, a 30-day upload window, no card needed. hazel's is 6 guests with 12 photos each, with the same guest review, host approval and Album email as the paid plans.
Which has video?
Both. Guestpix includes it and has a video guestbook. hazel's is an optional add-on: three clips per guest, up to 60 seconds each, reviewed before upload.
Is hazel a UK alternative to Guestpix?
Yes. hazel is based in the UK, with the free printable signs and table cards in A4, A5 and A1, and a UK inbox for help. Guests in any country join the same way, with no app to download, and visitors from the US, Canada, Australia and the euro countries see prices in their own currency.
Do guests need an app with Guestpix or hazel?
Neither needs one for guests. Both open in the phone's browser from a QR code or a link. The difference with hazel is what happens next: each guest sees their photo before it uploads, and you choose what goes in the Album before anyone else sees it.
